Also called luxiang yuan embroidery, gu embroidery was invented during the Ming Dynasty, and is now used to decorate clothes, ornaments and bedding. Gu embroidery tapestries are of two kinds, those intended for daily use and their more elaborate counterparts intended for decoration.
