Going dutch, AA style was done in Singapore as well, especially among us students who can't possibly treat everyone when our daily allowance from mum and dad is 5sgd-10sgd. :/
But since I arrive in Shanghai, my opinions on such changed. Especially with the peopel from the North(Dong Bei Ren). They seem to have a more generous concept about dinner. Someone who has money will buy the round table, and somehow someone will pay at least once in any kind of meals. They considered that generous and "brotherly" I guess.
But whether it's going dutch, AA(ZZZz), or treating.. don't you think its such a form in which people and people connects? Welcome to China, Lady!
